Co-Founder of Houlihan Lokey. Co-led teams that created the modern fairness and solvency opinions. These services propelled Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin from a local valuation firm to the leading global M&A, valuation, and financial restructuring firm.
Created the sovereign advisory group. Clients included Iraq, South Korea, Antigua, Iceland, Liberia, and Greece. Worked extensively with the World Bank, IFC, IMF, and Paris Club. Houlihan Lokey is listed on the NYSE with an $11B market cap, has over 2,000 investment bankers in 30+ offices.
Vice Chairman of Ethos Space Resources. Ethos is developing advanced technologies to melt lunar regolith creating construction materials while simultaneously extracting oxygen at industrial scale to build spaceports and supply propellant.
Board Member of the Planetary Sunshade Foundation, a 501(c)(3), climate change research organization focused on the potential to lower earth’s surface temperature using a sunshade composed of a constellation of solar sails.
Board Member of JWW, a philanthropic organization supporting the Panzi Hospital (DRC), Congo Peace School, and Save the Syrian Children.
Lifelong poet. Poetry prizes include the 2023 Robert Creeley Prize for “Hand & Viz,” 2022 Finishing Line Press Chapbook Contest “MadCap,” available on Amazon and Spotify, 2021 Gemini Magazine Annual Award for Best Poem.
